A Vision for the Future
Career Catalyst CEO, Dr. Hassan Brown, ‘The Doc From Da Block’, is passionate about bridging the gap between social justice, education, and emerging technologies. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Hassan became a teacher in his community after serving several years as a child protective investigator. Hassan’s journey has been anything, but typical. Brown has served as the director of Harvard Innovation and Ventures in Education (HIVE) . He has also been a startup advisor for the Harvard Initiative for Teaching and Learning (HILT), and currently serves as a startup advisor for Headstream, an accelerator from SecondMuse. He brings over a decade of cross-sector experience in teaching, collective impact, community organizing, philanthropy, business development, and strategy & operations.
